Uitgeverij/Publisher Komma

'No Ordinary Publisher' is case in point for Komma. This publishing house established by Steven Hond (who was named best printer in the World by Sappi) is all about passion and a personal interest to create exceptional publications. Some very special examples are 'Vincent van Gogh, the sketchbooks and more...' an artwork in its own right and the collaboration with renowned designer Marcel Wanders to create 'Rijks, Masters of the Golden Age'.

Design by Toko was engaged to create a new identity and re-think the documentation of all books ever published. The bold logo reflects the idea of enjoying a book cover to cover. For the documentation of the publications a set was build allowing for several scenarios. The books were photographed and filmed to show detail, size and dimensionality. We used hand models, the occasional props and developed mini scenarios if required. The title for this project was called ‘theatre of books’. The final result is a massive database of content which is used on social media outlets, for PR purposes and of course the brand new website we designed and was developed by INTK.
