Parramatta’s most recognised public place, Centenary Square, officially (re)opened on 25 September 2014 after a $5m restoration project which included the installation of new street furniture, paving, landscaping and signage.

Part of a multidisciplinary team led by JMD, Design by Toko master-planned and designed a signage and wayfinding system complimenting the introduced restrained and contemporary material palette finding further inspiration within the pavement pattern. The uncluttered space allows clear legibility and re-establishes the space as the civic center of Paramatta city.
